I had hours left to kill at LAX before my 11:15 (10:30 boarding) flight to Chicago, the dreaded red-eye.

As for the barista, who served me my coffee but was cleaning up near the window when he said that, I think he was partaking of a little people-watching as a particularly attractive young woman walked by.
The taxi will be here at 4:40 in the morning. I’ll be at the airport shortly after 5, for a 6-am-ish flight. To Denver then Ontario.

The day in review:
It’s Sunday evening and I just want to ramble a bit. One of the more difficult social tensions (dialectics) to solve is between involvement and distance.
