The McDonald’s “Filet O’ Fish<\/a>” commercial is hilarious. And cheap to make. Perhaps the marketing gurus who came up with it got a hefty fee. It’s just two fish sandwiches sitting there in boxes, lettuce behind one and tomatoes behind the other. And two voices, one pronouncing what he is, a Filet o’ Fish and the other saying “Filet a fish” … and that’s all it is.<\/p>\n

The Spurs just swept the Cavaliers, 4-0, in the 2007 NBA Finals — it was a close game, with a couple lead changes in the second half, but San Antonio managed to pull it out. I was worried early on and early in the 4th quarter with all the turnovers.<\/p>\n

This afternoon I headed out to the mall to do some clothes shopping, but I stopped by Borders first (3 to the 30 to the 20 bus) but held off and bought nothing. There was a big Dover math book oriented toward humanities types, a couple art books, and one of those drawing\/sketching packages I’d been thinking of getting, but this one was “sketching” rather than “drawing” oriented, cost $10 rather than $5 or $6, and the books I saw on sale were not as impressive as this full-priced thing on drawing and creativity I saw and loved. But $25 was too much.<\/p>\n

I went next door to Shopko and found some shorts and shirts on sale. I tried on a few pair of shorts and while they were tight they fit, and if I lose weight they’ll be more comfortable. And then I was off to the mall and JCPenney, where after some searching I found the lone pair of 38×36 jeans. They fit but my gut currently disgusts me. Where did it come from?<\/p>\n

I stopped by Arby’s in the food court and “treated” myself to some of their “food.” Scare quotes are necessary for both the “treating” and “food” aspects … I think a good milkshake or dessert, a fine film, an expensive wine … those are treats.
