Jose showed up at 9 and didn’t need to be there until 2. At 2 he wasn’t there.<\/p>\n
We had a complete run-through; Manfred made few interruptions. The lighting cues were nearly perfect (one to two “off” a bit by me; one off by Di), and the sound was good, since we’d never done it with the preset (lighting) cues before, and Manfred just wanted to adjust the volume a bit. The onstage stuff worked well.<\/p>\n
So after dropping off the costume and packing up … I missed the bus home (5:20), so instead went to Fair Trade for an iced coffee and window seat for people watching and writing.<\/p>\n
Mr. Barista mentioned that there will be no new Doctor Who next weekend; it’s being preempted on the BBC by Eurovision. Not like the Brits have a shot. Mr. Barista only knew it as a European American Idol type thing; so I clarified and, later, introduced him to Lordi’s winning entry from last year.<\/p>\n
My good deed of the day.<\/p>\n
I took the 6:2 home and had a message from dad on the machine; they were in Minneapolis at the airport at the time, with a long layover before flying home, and it appears the trip was good. I shouldn’t try to call on Sunday; they’ll be resting. So I called Christoph and decided to head over to his place around 7 for some zombie movies.<\/p>\n
