It’s like Feb. 14th all over again … but better!<\/em><\/p>\n Milk chocolate? Check. Dark chocolate? Check.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n But, wait … we also had ‘rotation’ (about which I might write were one of my wrists not held down by a black and white cat) and then some Pixar: “WALL\u2022E” and, for something much lighter in tone, “Ratatouille” (2007).<\/p>\n The latter I watched in hi-def in late 2008, I guess, shortly before going to see Patton Oswalt live. The former I watched on my own, probably shortly thereafter, since I didn’t see it in theaters. I’d watched the first two “Toy Story” movies while living in Berlin; before that I knew only “The Incredibles”, which is still among the movies I can go back to at any time just because it’s fun to watch, emotionally fulfilling, technically smart, and so on.<\/p>\n Anyway, add to that a tasty and mellow merlot and leftover cookies from yesterday — there’s cheese and bread, too, if we want to be a bit more stereotypically Parisian in honor of the last movie –, and it’s been a good day, albeit it one filled with sugar.<\/p>\n Lots of sugar.<\/em><\/p>\n Now it’s 8:30 and I have ‘work’ to do.
