I have little to report, to communicate, or to reflect upon at the moment.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>1. Chores were undertaken and doing them felt good. Not because they &#8212; changing sheets and hand-towels, doing laundry, drying and putting away dishes &#8212; were &#8216;important&#8217; or in need of being done, though they were, but because although my mind is constantly active and I think of myself as a thinker, in a sense, I am almost always happiest when I&#8217;m busy &#8216;doing&#8217; rather than busy planning or thinking.<\/p>\n<p>2. Sunday brunch prompt writing as usual; I&#8217;ve been working on an ongoing project of sorts since the beginning of the year, though I tend to introduce too many extraneous characters\/figures and while the &#8216;story&#8217; moves forward there is no &#8216;plot&#8217; at the moment. It would benefit from some alone time, some quiet, some planning and thinking-through. Some top-down-ness.<\/p>\n<p>3. I had a head of cabbage in the fridge and was reminded of how delicious and frequently sweet roasted cabbage can be, so I put a quarter of it &#8212; chopped, oiled, and seasoned &#8212; on a baking sheet in the oven. Add a roasted sweet potato and some more &#8230;? A delicious dinner. Sometimes simple is best.<\/p>\n<p>4. It&#8217;s not yet 7pm &#8230; time for some down-time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ll consider this my day of rest.
