The taxi will be here at 4:40 in the morning. I’ll be at the airport shortly after 5, for a 6-am-ish flight. To Denver then Ontario.
Then I’ll take a taxi to a Metrolink stop, and then take the Metrolink to Union Station. From there a subway and then a bus. Oh what fun. I’ll spend the afternoon near the UCLA campus … never been before.
Meet Leena at 7 and then dinner in Santa Monica … also never really seen.
Will see Nate on Friday.
I gave Julie Türkisch für Anfänger today so she can show episodes 3 and 4 on Friday.
I did my laundry, I listened to so Reverend Horton Heat, I re-read some Jack Chalker and exchanged a few words with the other person doing laundry at the laundromat. I played phone tag all day with Nate and finally got to talk to him when he was at the airport. I played less phone tag with Leena but had three phone conversations with her, two on her dime, this evening, the last of which included trying to help her pick out booze for the Saturday evening party.
She was hesitant to buy some inexpensive wines because one of her friends ins a wine snob and might disapprove.
Oh my.
It’s raining, and it might rain there, so I’ll likely pack an umbrella, though rain is unlikely. I still need to pack. I still need to email my students … again.
I reserved a taxi.
I should get *some* rest. I should have oatmeal for breakfast … but perhaps also clean my kitchen sink.
My rechargeable batteries are charging; I should charge my iPod.
And take a book with me to read.
And then simplify this whole list … I can’t do everything I “plan.”
