I beat the bugs!

Let’s keep it short.

I beat the bugs … so far. I went shopping but bought no bug spray. I took my chances … did I really need poisonous bug killing spray that I’d use at most once? Today? No swarms of bugs … one or two stragglers are left but for now that’s it. There was, it seems, that one batch. Where they came from, I know not.

So many dead bugs

Last night I had a swarm of gnats — midges? — or rather swarms in my apartment, around the lights, and so I turned on lights farther (further … whichever) away from me to attract them … elsewhere.

I see future people!

My “brief” comments about Lost — despite a bit of a slow pace, which is to say, too much dallying on scenes with “meaningful looks” and such, the show still has it.

In spades.

Operation Cheesecake? Success

However, there is a shorter-than-expected diary here because I am f**king p***ed … my fault? I don’t know. I blame Firefox, I blame MySpace … I blame somebody else …

It’s a cheesecake Monday!

I read the newest (19) issue of X-Factor, volume 3, and it’s definitely going a cliff-hangery sort of way with Rictor and the others. There was some great M dialog (isn’t there always?), but unlike most other recent issues this one doesn’t stand too well on its own.

Thursday — seems like Friday?

Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Coney Island, Central Park, Times Square, Soho and so on and so forth. Several museums, Columbia’s campus and perhaps NYU’s, coffee shops and bookstores, neighborhoods to see, and musical and concerts and ballets. Plus the Bollywood Disco up in Tribeca when I arrive.

Rain and impromptu pudding

Rain rain go away, come again another day …

When I walked out the door this morning and ran to the bus it was still dry and not particularly humid. I took the 3 to Gorham and State, got off, crossed the street, and got a table at Fair Trade, but within half an hour it was raining.

And at some points coming down rather hard.
